Just under the wire! At the last minute for signing up for Socktoberfest, I started my first sock in over a year! I have almost a skein of Wool Ease and I hope it’s enough to make two socks because I’d hate to have to buy one more just to finish up. I don’t tend to like long socks so I’m hopeful. I started with Ann Budd’s “The Knitter’s Handy Book of Patterns” and am creating (if they work out) my “Twist Barbie” socks.

Also, I got lots of knitting done, since I was working on my socks and poor Ophelia (don’t you just love her name? if only I had had a girl …) had nothing to knit at our knitting group so I graciously gave her my Katrina Rib to work on. She apparently finished _4_ Hallowigs this week, so she’s a fast knitter, and did well on my sweater. I have to bring it back just in case next week. 😉
