I’ve never been one to swatch, but I expect the Silk Corset is going to be difficult so I want to make sure the yarn will fit this time, so I’ve spent my last couple of days swatching for that project as well as starting and screwing up others. Here’s my latest tally:

Stately Shrug — given up on. I may make it again later, but right now I’m not into it, plus all the shrugs I’ve started lately have looked nice, but made me look fat, so maybe in 20 lbs. I can start them again.

Tivoli t-shirt — I started knitting this in my SWTC Beyond, and I really hate knitting with that yarn so I’m giving up for now.

I also started a swatch for the Silk Corset in my Beyond, and that’s what pushed me over the edge. I think I have 7 skeins of it, too.

Then I started a swatch for the Silk Corset with some Knit Picks Merino Style I have (I wanted to use something I had already so I could get started, but most everything is too lightweight or too heavy). When I first unwrapped it it seemed pretty unexciting, like Caron or something I could get at Michael’s, then I started to knit and it was really soft, but then after awhile I decided I didn’t like the look of it even after knitting with it for awhile. So then I decided to order some Knit Picks Andean Silk, that someone else is using in the knitalong, and so now I have to wait for it to get here! I guess maybe I’ll have to finish one of my UFOs.
